Aegio is a device monitoring platform designed for parents or legal guardians to monitor their own minor children.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)

Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut Privacy Rights

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut have certain rights regarding their personal data under applicable state privacy laws, including the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), and the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA).

Subject to applicable law, these rights include:

Depending on the features you enable, we may collect:

Lawful Use of Monitoring Tools

Aegio is intended solely for monitoring your own minor children. By using the service, you agree:

  • You will not monitor any adult, spouse, partner, employee, roommate, or any non-consenting person.
  • You will not use Aegio for covert, unlawful, or non-consensual surveillance.
  • You are solely responsible for complying with state, federal, and local laws regarding data collection, recording, and monitoring.

Aegio LLC is not responsible for any unlawful or improper use of the platform.

Video, Audio, and Media Collection

If you enable photo, video, or audio collection:

  • You acknowledge that recording laws vary by state.
  • Some states require all parties to consent to audio or video recording, including:
  • California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington
  • You agree to follow all applicable consent laws.
  • You agree to only record your own minor child.
  • You agree not to record teachers, other students, bystanders, or anyone else unless permitted by law.

Aegio LLC disclaims liability for any recordings made or stored unlawfully.

Biometric Information Notice

Media you capture may contain biometric identifiers, such as faces. Certain states—including Illinois (BIPA), Texas, Washington, and Colorado—regulate biometric information.

Aegio:

  • Does not perform facial recognition  
  • Does not analyze biometric identifiers  
  • Stores media solely for parental monitoring purposes

By enabling media features, you consent to our storage of media that may contain biometric data.

Use of Your Personal Information

The Company uses your information to:

Tracking User Behavior

Mandatory Reporting of Child Exploitation

We use automated systems, including AI-based analysis, to help detect content that may involve abuse, exploitation, or endangerment of minors.If our systems detect content that may involve the sexual exploitation or abuse of a minor, we are legally required to restrict access to that content and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).Such content is quarantined and is not made available to users, including parents or guardians. Reports may be submitted without notice, as required by law.Where required by law, we report suspected child sexual exploitation or abuse to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, when appropriate, to law enforcement agencies.

Cookies

The Company may use cookies for personalization, authentication, analytics, and session management. You may decline cookies, but doing so may limit some features.

Security of Your Personal Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including:
